Summer is quickly winding down and the air is starting to chill. Hopefully, you were able to get every last item checked off of your summer bucket list while you could! Before we jump into Fall, we can’t forget about Labor Day weekend. Surely nothing beats sending off summer in style, and of course with your favorite Sorrelli Sparkle!
One of our favorite things about this summer was the phenomenal cocktails. This year was all about the Moscow Mule, Mimosas at brunch, and one of our personal favorites… mojitos! We love how refreshing everything is, along with the fact that most of these drinks have fruit in them to munch on afterwards! Here is one of our favorite recipes for a fresh take on a classic drink:
Sorrelli Watermelon Mojito:
Serves 6
- 4-5 slices of thick cut watermelon
- 3 cups of whole mint leaves
- 12 ounces of Rum (preferably clear)
- ½ cup simple syrup
- Lime Juice to taste
- Sprigs of mint and slices of watermelon for garnishing
Mash mint leaves using mortar and pestle until leaves are thoroughly ground and place into large pitcher. Cut off the rind of the watermelon and remove seeds. Place in blender and puree until desired consistency. Add watermelon puree, rum, simple syrup, and lime juice into pitcher. Let chill and go get some sparkle on! You’ll want to flaunt your perfectly matched ring and bracelet set while sipping on this glass of summer! Once you are ready, pour mojitos into festive glasses and garnish with a slice of watermelon and sprig of mint.
What is a Sorrelli Mojito without some great jewelry to match? A few great matches would include anything with light, airy colors. The Lariat Necklaces are a great way to add some effortless sparkle and a splash of color to your outfit. The Regal Rhombus Y Necklace in Mint or Rose Water is a great color to compliment your new cocktail. Pair them with a Majestic Marquise Earring in Mint or a Cushion Cut French Wire Earring in Rose Water and you are all set to enjoy!
